| An Update of Events in the Global Relations
of Caribbean Countries, 2000 |
| Increasing globalisation means the Caribbean can no longer exist in an insular position especially since international issues/occurrences, even if they do not directly involve the region, may have repercussions which the Caribbean must prepare itself to face. Despite the geographical proximity of Caribbean countries and the existence of various regional associations and bodies, a gap in information dissemination, and even in accessing information still exists. This online publication was generated to provide a database of information and resource materials on the Caribbean region and the issues which affect it. Please be advised that the Chronology is being revised and a new site will shortly be forthcoming. Links for previous information for the year 2000 are below. |
