Notes:

[1] Tuition Fees: Tuition fees are waived in the case of part-time postgraducate students who are full time members of staff of the status of Assistant Lecturer and above. UWI scholarship holders are exempt from the payment of tuition fees.

[2] Caution Money: Caution money is payable on admission to The University (Year 1). This fee is fefunded on completion of the course or on withdrawl from The University, on submission of our ID card and clerance from Departments and the Library.

[3] ID Card: Cost of a replacement Identification Card is TT$30.00

[4] Current rate of exchange of the US dollar to the TT dollar is TT$6.299 to US$1.00

4. Other Estimated Expenses:

Books and learning materials:

These are estimated at TT$3,000.00 per annum.

The typing of research papers and theses is estimated as follow:

Research Papers/Project Reports/Master's Theses TT$ 900.00

Ph.D. Theses - TT$ 1,000.00

 Residence and Meals:

Residence fees are estimated as follow:

- 38 weeks (34 weeks term time; 3 weeks - break; 1 week-summer) at TT$ 200.00 per week (Postgraduate Hall) =TT$ 7,600.00

- Cost of meals is based on an average expenditure of TT$ 300.00 per week in the central cafeteria (x 38 weeks) = TT$ 11,400.00
 

Personal Expenses:

An estimated TT$ 4,800.00 should be budgeted for other personal expenses.

  

Settling in Allowance:

We recommend that Scholarship donors give students from outside the Campus Country an annual allowance of TT$ 1,000.00 to assist with first month expenses, and a termination allowance of TT$ 500.00 to assist with the cost of shipping personal effects at the conclusion of studies.
